    EMDR Consultation

Whether it is a few sessions to build confidence or to work towards full certification, the decision to work with an EMDRIA approved consultant is the best decision an aspiring EMDR therapist can make. Like any professional mentor, choosing a consultant is an educational and financial investment that requires careful consideration. Depending on the consultant’s background and various training a consultee may have the opportunity to learn more advanced techniques that align with their clinical interests in addition to sharpening their knowledge of and ability to implement standard protocols.

Rebecca offers a relational approach to treating complex PTSD and dissociation grounded in the foundation of attachment theory. In addition, she has developed her own protocol that integrates EFT and EMDR to treat couples and families through an ecological systems approach. Rebecca also has extensive experience implementing EMDR in nature-based settings to enhance the treatment experience. As a lifelong learner, Rebecca works with a variety of talented consultants across the U.S. as well as internationally for her own continuing education.

Rebecca completed her EMDR basic training through the EMDR institute of Greater Washington in 2017. In 2021 she was trained in Sarah Jenkins Equilateral Protocol™, allowing her to offer equine-assisted EMDR to her clientele. Years of witnessing the healing power that EMDR offers and a lifelong passion for teaching led her to become an EMDRIA approved consultant in 2022.

In working with Rebecca, consultees will be provided with a safe space to strengthen the skills learned from basic training. They will then be given the opportunity to dive into more advanced techniques and learn about Rebecca’s specialties. Additionally, consultees are provided with custom materials to help streamline the process of integrating EMDR into their current practice. From treating acute PTSD through a recent event protocol to unraveling years of childhood trauma with the help of parts work and Structural Dissociation Theory, you will learn, grow, and thrive as an EMDR therapist.

You deserve to feel confident in your EMDR skills.
